Medieval Style Organ

Good eventide everyone,

I came across the following article and wanted to share.

 9 April 2011 – BBC News Wales
A working reconstruction of a medieval church organ has been unveiled at the National History Museum at St Fagans, Cardiff. No originals have survived intact after the 16th Century Reformation, and the organ has taken nine months to complete. The first demonstration was given at St Teilo’s Church at the museum.

Go to www.TheMedievalChronicle.com and click on the picture of the organ and you’re on your way.  Please be patient with the advertisement in the beginning.

Knowing what our organs sound like today, one can only begin to imagine what the music you will hear when you play the video must have sounded like to the medieval world.  Music from heaven?  Or not?

Enjoy! from your Faithful Scribe,
